It's a New Year! Now it's time to start acting like it. Every new year for me feels like a fresh start, a new beginning. Someone once told me "the new year is like wearing a brand new outfit you just bought out." I whole heartily agree.
After much thought, I finally came up with a new, realistic resolution for the year 2011. In fact, it's something I love to do - TRAVEL! What else?
I've been very blessed to grow up within a family who puts a lot of positive emphasize on traveling. Getting out to see the world when I very well have every opportunity to is never frowned upon.
With that said, I've had the opportunity to travel to: Washington, Oregon, California, Texas, Mississippi, Ohio, Indiana, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, South Carolina, Florida, Canada, Germany, England, France, Belgium, Italy, Kuwait and Qatar.
Traveling is a great way to get to know other cultures. Sometimes, it can also be a real eye opener, too. I've learned this to be true just this past summer while I got the chance to live in the Middle East.
I'm going to specifically focus on road trips this year. Something I haven't done too much of on my own. I figure I have a car, so why not put it to good use? And guess what! I've already started a piggy bank for gas money!
Here's to my new years resolution - cheers everyone!
